Project: cleaning and preserving
THE CURLY REDWOOD ENRTY HALL
This entryway was created out of curly redwood from Navarro Mill in Mendocino County and gifted as a wedding present. The ceiling panels were put in place upside down on the floor and lifted into place with poles. Currently, we are cleaning the paneling and floors with low ph soap and then preserving with a paste wax.

Eastlake style

Charles Eastlake wrote a "Guide to Household Taste" in England in 1869
One of the most important books in the history of 19th century interior design, serving as a basic source on what was proper, beautiful, and efficient. This house is the American version.
Cleaning wood work
It is an amazing pleasure to clean this amazing room, the craftmanship and beauty of the wood and the design shows it off. Redwood, at this time, was not used in houses, or if it was, they painted it to look like mahogany. Here it is shown at it's best.

Flooring
This beautiful parquet flooring has seen 141 years of grime build up. Our goal is to clean off the grime and preserve the worst parts with paste wax to seal the surface to protect it.
