& Garden work parties
This is your opportunity to get community service credit , add to the volunteer part of your resume or just have fun working on the Oak Tree Farm school garden in the back. Or Help us as we plant and maintain the front historic garden.

There are also on-going house restoration projects to work on with our caretaker, available such as repairing and rebuilding our wooden windows, sanding painting and installation. Also waterproofing the exterior. Training is included.
House
collections
This home survived the late 19th century and the early 20th century and is full of the family's history, documents and belongings- a collection of everything they saved, used and felt they needed or wanted.
You can see our collection of many of the items in the house on this link.
Our goal is to keep the collection together, accessible and intact.
To be studied in place by historians, designers, and graduate students and you.

We will train you to use this amazing Catalogit App. So far, we have cataloged over 3,000 items and we are not done yet.

We need volunteers to help us with private and public teas. If you like to cook, decorate, dress up, serve or help in the gift shop and with tours, we need you!
Interested in Bay Area history and how this house and family came about? You will learn how to use our family stories and hands-on items. Provided with the docent packet full of factual information about the house, you will be able to do historical interpretation for all ages to help lead our monthly tours.
