About the event

  Patty Donald, President of the Victorian Preservation Center of Oakland and a descendent of the family who lived here will share her familys history. Learn how these two Gold Rush families helped shape the  transportation of people and commodities all around the region.  Interested in how this  East Bay neighborhood has changed over time? Through  Zoom we can show the historic maps of Alameda and the  Oakland Fruitvale district.  See how the house evolves through family changes in wealth and property, impacts of earthquakes and embezzlement.  The original  architectural plans and historic photos help us understand the  importance of preservation and restoration. This is a very rare home, complete with the collections of one family over 139 years. Learn why we need your membership, time and expertise. Hopefully, We can all save this house  for the future.
