About the event
The Cohen Bray House is an Oakland Landmark and was completed in 1884. This Stick style Victorian home contains one family's collections. Alfred Henry Cohen married Emma Bray and they moved into the house created by both of their families as a wedding present. When you enter the front door you will be seeing the furniture, wall coverings, pictures and objects- wedding presents that Emma and Alfred put into their new home years ago.
The tea and tour lasts for two hours you will be greeted in the entry with a quick background of the house and family. The tea with sweets and savories will be served to you as you sit in the formal dining room. Music and good company will entertain you. Tickets
11:30 seating
The tea begins at 11:30 and ends in the gift shop at 1:30. Your Tea also includes a tour through the decorated house with a family member. It is cold in the house so dress up in warm party clothes. We have a lift to help with the entry stairs onto the main floor. For the tour, if needed, our 360 degree video tour of all the rooms is available for viewing the other floors if the stairs are a problem to the upper floors.
