Kitchen and Butler’s Pantry
The kitchen—not normally on the tours before because it was being used by family—will now be open to see. Two doorways and windows were altered in 1896 to accommodate a larger family. In 1992, a new sink cabinet and dishwasher were added to modernize. We are pleased to be able to make positive historic changes by repairing the plaster, duplicating the original pattern of the flooring in the butler's pantry and back hallway. Volunteers have worked hard to deep-clean, paint to prepare to replace the flooring and make it ready for you to see.
