$5.00 Public tours through this beautiful home are given at 2:00 p.m. on the 4th Sunday of each month. donations are welcome. Contact us for reservations.
The house does not have a ramp at this time. The public rooms are all on the main floor after 8 stairs from the front door. The second floor bedrooms are accessed only by stairs.
Private tours for groups or individuals can be arranged anytime.

Bring your class to visit this amazing house. Located in the Fruitvale district and close to BART, it is easily accessible. We offer the teacher a pre-trip tour with activities to prep your class. We offer indoor tours as well as outside activities. Classes are divided into smaller groups and depending on the grade level and focus of the tour we can rotate upstairs, downstairs, and in the garden. Students might help in the garden, make butter, wash clothes on a washboard or just appreciate the garden. Opportunities for older students could include art, language arts, or the teacher's choice. We will create a learning opportunity that supports your existing curriculum. This is a perfect field trip for studying local, California, and U.S. History for 3rd grade through high school.
